Up to 100 Sensors can be connected through USB to the analysis device MPC. The SL-Monitor MPC uses WIN-7/8 and uses interfaces from NET, LAN, Bluetooth and USB. The measuerements are countinuously recorded on screen and hard disk and can be read overnetwork or on site. Up to four analog channels are provided per interface, wich can be used for SL-Senors or by temparature monitoring.

The BF-209 allows reproducible processing of longer tubes for the first time. This enables cost-effective production of large quantities of different balloons. A number of balloons are produced from one tube in a continuous process. After blowing the balloon, the balloon is automatically unloaded and at the same time a new tube piece is drawn into the mold. This process can be repeated up to a hundred times after a one-off setting. The length of the chain is essentially defined by the balloon process, and is generally in the region of 4-100 balloons per tube.


The mold of the BF-209 is heated by means of infrared heating, which enables quick and precisely reproducible heating of the balloon mold. The infrared heating of the BF-209 is arranged radially around the balloon mold, enabling temperatures up to 300°C.

 

The useful length of the balloon mold can be extended in 25 mm intervals, so that balloons with an overall length of up to 60 mm and a diameter of up to 50 mm can be manufactured as standard, without any modification to the balloon forming machine. The balloon mold of the BF-209 can be exchanged quickly and easily at any time. Balloon molds made from different materials such as glass, metal and plastic can be used. This allows specific utilization of the advantages of the respective balloon molds and guarantees a high level of flexibility in the balloon process with just one machine, depending on the relevant requirements.


Material is drawn out of the balloon cones during the process by the two individually controlled, programmable stretching units; this results in a smaller wall thickness and additional tapering of the balloon sleeves. In addition, the BF-209 has a long stretching unit, which enables automatic loading and unloading of the balloons. It is thus possible to produce a number of balloons in a continuous process without an operator.


The software complies with the requirements of EN 13485 and the FDA and is adapted to the requirements of medical technology production. Program management, personnel management, a logbook and history are therefore already integrated into the program.

The KIWI is a tube driller to drill all kind of holes in all kind of tube materials. The tube holder is adjusted on customer requirement and can be fast and easy changed. To program the turning speed or the drilling depth, the including software is used. The program can be choose by the knob on the side of the machine. Also the drilling depth can be fine adjusted by the knob. To start the drilling process, choose the program, load the tube and start the drilling by using the footswitch.

 

The Kiwi can optional armed with a linear axis like the KX-100. So the tube-driller is fully PC-controlled and can be connected to a host. The positions of the holes to be drilled can be freely programmed in length and angle using the provided software. The drill feed rate and the drilling depth can also be freely programmed for each individual hole. The PC support makes it possible to create and store a virtually unlimited number of different hole patterns. Every drilled tube can be retrieved from a history. Because there is a user account control you can decide which user can create, delete or change programs.

The force is transferred to the stent via a 6-way IRIS diaphragm profile. A plastic tube is located between the stent and the IRIS diaphragm, which transfers the force from the diaphragm to the stent without causing damage. Consequently, even coated stents can be crimped. The force is adjusted electronically by a controller. The iris diaphragm can also be automatically offset by an angle of 30°. This enables a virtually 100% radial force application. The tool width of 13mm enables both short and long stents to be crimped without changing the tool. The feed for long stents > 13mm is regulated by a freely programmable control and 0-10 programs can be simply selected with a selector switch. The maximum travel is approx. 120 mm.

The Druleck 2 tests balloons and catheters via gas pressure. The easy and fast handling from the Druleck 2 makes a 100 % inspection possible. The HT-1000 is a high-vacuum annealing furnace that can heat its annealing stock (stents) in a high vacuum to temperatures of up to 1200°C. This prevents oxidation from taking place and as of specific temperatures, oxides are even reduced. An additional benefit is that no foreign atoms become integrated into the product during the thermal process, which would otherwise impair the properties of the material.

 

The vacuum is achieved by a high-vacuum turbo pump, which can attain a final pressure of <10E-5. The dry rotor booster pump ensures that no back diffusion of lubricants develops. And the tried and tested cooling method that is applied in the vacuum enables small particle sizes to be achieved. The integrated venting value enables quick aeration of the system, and, in combination with protective gas, the processing time is minimized. The number of annealed stents pro run depends on size.

 

The process is controlled and monitored by freely-programmable software, which takes all important parameters into account: i.e. different temperature profiles can be run in succession. Windows is known for its easy-to-operate interface and complies fully with the requirements set by FDA and CE regulations. Individual user accounts can be defined with different access rights. Process sequences are able to be saved in a chart and subsequently evaluated, while finished processes are stored in a so-called History File. In addition, modifications, services or other activities can be noted down in the Log Book. Database software is available (not included in scope of delivery) to be used to make backups of the data. A large number of process programs can be created and saved with the software. A further option is support of a host connection.

With the AC30 it is possible to cut tubes with a diameter of approximately 1 mm ranging up to about 30 mm. The machine has been developed for cutting tubes made from all standard materials. It is PC controlled and whit the software, which is included; you can program the length, number of pieces, speed and acceleration. Because there is a user account control you can decide which user can create, delete or change programs. It is also possible to use the AC30 without a PC, the last used program is always stored in the machine.


The tube is fed by a strong band feeder, which contact pressure could adjust by a regulator. So the form of the tube is widely the same. The feeding speed could be adjusted over a wide range, so all types of tube could be fed exactly. The tube is guided by a bushing that is changed in a few seconds. Whit one bushing could be covered a range of about 5 mm. The blade is fast and easy to change.


The machine is totally closed, so that it is practically impossible to injure someone. The AC30 complies with CE regulations.

The C30 was developed for the manual cutting of different types of tubes of different lengths and diameters. The cutting of extremely soft tubes and tubes with low inherent stability is no problem with the C30.

Thanks to the precise guidance of both blade and tube, the cutting edges are at right angles, the tube remains in its original shape and the length of the tubes remains constant after the process is complete. The C30 is characterised by it´s easy handling and quick operating procedure. With the C30 it is possible to cut tubes with a diameter of approximately 1 mm ranging up to about 30 mm. The cutting process usually lasts about 2 seconds; the complete cutting process depends on the length and quality of the tube.


The tubes to be cut are guided through guide bushing, which can be replaced easily. With one guiding bush, ranges of 5 mm are covered on average. The cutting blade is easy and quick to replace. Operation of the C30 is by means of pneumatic foot pedal, which can be set up at a distance of up to 3 m from the C30.


Due to the completely closed metal housing and the length of the cutting bushing, injury from operating the cutting process can be practically ruled out. The tube cutter corresponds to the operational safety regulations and CE directives.

The two axes on the GEMINI enable a multitude of different applications. E.g. two-sided tapering of tubes for the manufacture of large balloons with reduced necks. Stretching of long tips and forming of graduated catheters are also possible.

The GEMINI is controlled by means of the supplied software, which enables virtual representation of the executed process. This means that complex processes can be implemented quickly and easily. The tube is manually inserted and held by a quick-acting clamp fixture, which can be used over a large diameter range. 

 

The infrared heating enables an adjustable constant energy transfer, which heats the tube equally both inside and out; this results in uniform stretching of the molecules in the tube, so that burning of the tube is excluded. The result is uniform stretching over the complete tube diameter.

 


The housing of the GEMINI has been specially designed for use in clean rooms. The use of compressed air has been dispensed with, and the machine has been largely encapsulated. The stainless steel surfaces of the housing are easy to clean.

With the Sl monitor used, is the dissolution with 200 scale parts for the adjusted range. With 4-20 mA interface the dissolution is because of your evaluation. Temperature influence: The sensor is not temperature-compensated, which is sufficient also for most requirements well. If a compensation should be desired, the option can be ordered with the SL monitor, or by a linear factor into your evaluation to be easily considered. The remarks of the sensors differ after their employment and the concentration. The IR5 can be used to form plastic tips from 0.5 – 7.0 mm diameter. The IR5 can also be used for welding catheter shafts and tips of balloon catheters.

The IR5 has been developed for forming plastic tips with a diameter of 0.5-7 mm. Optimum adaptation to your production can be achieved by quickly and simply changing between different molds, such as glass, metal and plastic molds. The IR5 enables forming of open and closed tips. In addition, the IR5 is an ideal welding machine for catheter shafts and tips of balloon catheters.

 

The IR5 is loaded manually. The tube is inserted into the slide. The tube is clamped and the freely programmable sequence is started by pressing the start key. The following parameters can be entered: Power, start position, tip length, speed and cooling temperature. The process can also be adapted to new requirements in the machine program.

 

The mold is heated by 4 radially arranged IR emitters. It is thus possible to change the mold without the need for readjustment. The mold is exchanged together with the complete mold holder. The time taken is typically << 5 min. The IR sensor is recommended if the temperature can be measured at the tip of the mold (if no through-loading is necessary).

The STENT-VISION 3000 stent measurement system was developed to automate and enhance the stent quality management.

The strut width and stent length are measured fully automatically. Additionally the wall thickness can be measured manually at any stent position.

 

The stent is recorded optically and the appropriate strut will be searched and measured by using the parameters learned during the teaching process. Every desired stent model can be added to the database system. The teaching process must be performed only once for each stent model. Then it is possible to measure a single stent or the entire lot sequentially.

 

The STENT-VISION 3000 searches the appropriate struts in both directions (rotational and axial) fully automatically. Furthermore it is possible to measure only necessary struts according to the drawings directly at the proximal, medial and distal stent position by using the integrated PMD-Function.

 

The results of every single stent are recorded and are provided in a detailed html-file after the measurement process. Strut widths out of the limits given by the technical drawings are specially marked.

 

With the STENT-VISION 3000 it is possible to use multiple user accounts with different user groups. Only administrators are allowed to perform the system calibration, to teach new stents, to administrate the reports and to create and delete user accounts.

 

The operating status of the STENT-VISION 3000 is indicated by different colors and flashing intervals on both sides and at the front of the system.

The DLF-380 tester is equipped with an automatic clamping device on the right side. This clamp can be used to apply a defined clamping force to two clamping jaws. Thus it is possible to measure stents in the friction on the balloon as well. The pressing force can be set by weights and the surfaces can be quickly replaced by different sizes and shapes. Easier operation with only two buttons enables quick familiarisation in production and easy handling. This device is ideal for many measuring tasks.


For measuring, the part to be tested is placed below the clamp block. Then the plates are lowered carefully with the "Clamp" button. The left side is closed with the mechanic spanner. Pressing the start button builds a tension or pressure on the left side with a carriage, and the force on the right clamp is measured over the path and indicated in a diagram. Comfortable, freely programmable software makes it possible to store and call employee management, batch number and up to 2000 programmes. The device has an error recognition function that indicates when the sample goes from adhesive friction to dynamic friction or if the measuring range or force is exceeded.
